The fairy tales have always made us think that castles are only found in the United Kingdom. Contrary to this United States of America is a home of beautiful Castles from the ancient times and other still under construction but taking the shape of ancient architecture. The following are amazing castles that you may want to plan and visit them in the United States.

  • Boldt Castle, New York

This is a castle that was built in 1900 by hotel magnate George C. Boldt that was inspired by his beloved wife Louise where they would go to enjoy summer in their own home. The castle is built on a tiny aisle tucked away in New York’s Thousand region. Its unfortunate Louise died before the castle was completed. George, therefore, changed its construction but the end of it was magnificent. The castle stayed for over 70 years unoccupied when the Thousand Islands Bridge Authority acquired the castle and restored its beauty. The castle has 120-room that now are used as a hotel with pretty towers. The castle crew is friendly, and you will meet ancient life once you visit the castle.

  • Bishop’s Palace, Texas

Located in Galveston’s East End in the historic district is the Galveston’s East End palace also known as Bishop’s palace. This castle was constructed in 1900 for entrepreneur Colonel Walter Gresham and attorney together with his family. This castle was designed by famed Nicholas Clayton who was a local architect who managed to build a very beautiful chateauesque mansion. The castle is built from purely stones and steel a mixture that endured the great storm of 19oo that destroyed many buildings and property in Galveston. This has been referred as one of the great historic castles of United States. The interior feature is fitted with dramatic mahogany stairwell, decorative wood carvings, and stained-glass windows.

  • Hearst Castle, California

Built high on the hilltop it’s a castle overlooking the Californian town of San Simeon. This amazing Hearst Castle Estate was built in the year 1919 to 1947. This is according to the design by Julia Morgan for William Randolph Hearst, the tycoon. During its completion, Hearst Castle had a total of 165 rooms constructed on 127 acres of land. Terraced gardens surround the castle. The castle boasts the Pacific Ocean view. The interior features are Gothic Study with a dramatic Spanish ceiling that dates from the early 1400s. The castle is a great destination to admire ancient creation and architect.

  • Castello di Amorosa, California

From a distance, the castle can be deceiving by its 13th-century look. However, this castle was completed back in 2007 just 14 years from today in 2017. Its located in Napa Valley of California’s wine country. It was designed by Dario Sattui the owner and fourth generation winemaker. The castle is surrounded by vineyards featuring 107 rooms most which are used for winemaking. Visitors can enjoy their time in the great hall with replica and decorations of Italian frescoes, torture chambers, and dungeon.
